Circle’s 2nd app release, Circle Invest, used custom-drawn crypto icons in an off-set “grid of coins”. Each icon represented one of 13 coins the app offers, such as bitcoin or ethereum, and its color is tied back to the cryptocurrency brand.
The first execution was a digital PDF called “Why Crypto?” geared toward tech journalists writing about Circle Invest. We doused our employees in purple and lured prospective candidates with “Talk crypto to me” at Tech Jam Boston, 2018. In App Stores, creative combined feature-forward copy with a visual system that complemented the easy, intuitive UI and breadth of coins. Display ads focused on joining the movement, ease of use and new coin announcements. And we created mini-campaigns around each feature release, such as Buy the Market, Explore, and the introduction of Collections.
